Nine Books. Nearly 30 Years. My Career in Photography.

Photography has taken me to some of the most remote and extraordinary places on earth. These nine books are the distillation of some of that work — each one a permanent record of a world that is rapidly changing. But hopefully there is a lot more to come.

That said, the world has changed enormously in that time and books have suffered major impact from these changes. I'm a big believer in the value of printed, hard copy books. Something that can be held in one's hand and represent works of art in their own right.

Because history can be rewritten. And in this strange digital world we are all trying to find our place in, anything electronic can be wiped out with one simple press of a button.

I'm under no illusion that what I do is important. But making books feels like a part of who I am. My contribution to recorded history on this planet. So we all may learn. Where we've come from. Mistakes we've made. And things we need to be conscious of as we all move forward in this and future lifetimes...
